SHAMEFUL AND CNDEMNABLE BEHAVIOUR OF MPs

SHAMEFUL AND CNDEMNABLE BEHAVIOUR OF MPs
When Mr. Veerappa Moily the Minister For Law And Parliamentary affairs introduced the Bill For Reservation of seats for Women In Parliament on 8th March 2010, the International Day of the Women, the Rajya Sabha saw a ruckus and pandemonium by the honorable[?] members . Several members entered the well of the house and started shouting slogans against the bill. They even tried to attack the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha and Vice President of the country and snatch the papers from him. They tore to pieces the papers of the debate and threw them around. It was really a shameful and condemnable act. People of the country have chosen and sent these MPs to the parliament not to show their bravado in the form of unruly behavior but to debate out the issues involved. They are entitled to their views. But to build a favorable opinion about their view point they should take into confidence the people of the country by organizing open debates all over thenation. In a democracy there are several ways to promote ones point of view. But the manner adopted by the MPs is definitely undemocratic, shameful and condemnable. It is an insult to our democracy.
